Sumner County EMS has lost a wonderful employee, person and friend. On June 10, 2013 Marie Blevins lost her battle with surgical complications from last August.
Sumner County EMS will forever be indebted to her for her immense knowledge, compassion, sense of humor and vision. She was a pioneer at SCEMS, being one of the first full time employees after the County changed from a volunteer service to a career service. Personally, Marie was a true friend to everyone. She knew how to push you to attain your full potential. Her life was EMS and we are forever grateful for her dedication and friendship!!!! RIP Marie.
Out of respect for Marie’s wishes, there will not be formal ceremony. Her wishes were for everyone to meet somewhere, relax and enjoy each others company while laughing and sharing stories about her.
