TASA, TEMSEA, and the Tennessee State of EMS Continuing and initial EMS Education Committees are very proud to bring you the Train the Trainer Course for the Updated Scope of Practice. This offering is free of charge and will be held at the Park Vista Hotel, Gatlinburg, TN, on Wednesday, February 22nd, 2023 from 0900-1130 am Eastern Standard Time, prior to the Opening Ceremony of the TASA Conference.

This offering is to provide information, PowerPoints, and instructional guidelines on the Advanced Scope of Practice modules. Per the State EMS Office, only instructor Coordinators that have a Paramedic license may teach the updated Scope of Practice and this Train the Trainer Course is required prior to teaching.  Additional information from the State Office of EMS:

State EMS Office is in the process of developing a course request form and the plan is to issue course numbers for all expanded scope of practice courses taught. It will be at the discretion of Service and Medical Directors for each EMS Agency to update guidelines/protocols and decide how much of this expanded scope of practice AEMTs for their service will be allowed to practice.  The goal of the State Office of EMS is that every AEMT across the state will receive the expanded Scope of Practice training.
