As a reminder, the Governor’s Executive Order #83 is due to expire at 11:59 PM CST on 10-5-2021. Although we anticipate this order will either be extended or a new one issued that will continue the ambulance operators, “F” endorsement removal and driver age requirements, services should prepare for the possibility that it may not be renewed.
TASA has worked with State EMS and an emergency rule to address the issues above (currently on hold) will be immediately filed should the executive order for ambulance operators not be continued. However, the full implementation of this emergency rule could take 4 weeks or more, should it be needed.
