Emergency Rule for Ambulance Operators Filed

November 19, 2021 at 7:26:50 PM CST

Good Evening,

I just received word that our Emergency Rule, allowing the continuation of Operators on ambulances, has been filed in the Secretary of State’s Office. This means that services who are currently using operators, under the authorization by the Commissioner, may continue to do so. The Emergency Rule will be published early next week and we will send a copy out for everyone to use as a reference. The Emergency Rule contains the same language as the Executive Order, meaning that services who wish to utilize operators will need to submit a plan and receive authorization prior to using them. The emergency rule will remain in effect for 180 days from the date of filling. Please let me know if you have any questions or if I can be of further assistance.
